YUÁN is a ramen and Japanese soul food restaurant that needed a digital presence as warm and inviting as its dining room. We crafted a brand identity and web experience that blends traditional Japanese typography with a bold red-and-cream palette — making every visitor feel the culture before they taste the food.

Where tradition meets digital craft

YUÁN approached us with a clear vision: a website that feels like walking into their restaurant. Warm tones, hand-drawn illustrations, and a scrolling marquee of Japanese and English text that captures the bilingual character of their brand.

We designed the entire digital experience around the idea of soul food — comfort, warmth, and authenticity. The navigation is minimal, the typography is bold, and every element invites you to stay and explore.

Every dish, beautifully presented

The menu page uses a tabbed interface with Japanese subtitles for each category — Small Plates, Ramen, Add-Ons, Rice Bowls & Salads, and Beverages. Each item is laid out in a clean grid with pricing and descriptions that respect the editorial feel of the overall brand.

We finished the menu section with a traditional Japanese wave pattern and a calligraphic message — 麺、ようこそ (Noodles, welcome) — tying the digital experience back to the restaurant's cultural roots.

Outcome

A cohesive brand and web experience that feels distinctly YUÁN — warm, cultural, and inviting. The website serves as both a menu and a brand statement, drawing diners in with the same care the kitchen puts into every bowl of ramen.
